The full moon


What are the stages of the moon?
If you are wondering what the stages of their? moon a
Well the first stage is it is the new moon . the new moon is when we can’t see the moon .It just looks like a dark circle. Only the side of  the moon that is facing the sun reflects sunlight.the second stage  is the waxing Moon the waxing is when the moon looks bigger he waxing crescent moon each night .The waxing crescent moon is when the moon looks like a banana some people say.
Then the next stage is… the full moon is when you can see all the moons surface . Allso there is a special meaning about it .It is when maori new year begins .
And Then the last stage is the waning moon  the moon looks bigger each time .
Some extra facts
The moon helps with the tides come in and go out as the moon orbits the earth .
It’s gravity pulls the surface of the oceans towards it .this helps to cause the tides .Also some old stories say that the moon is leaving us . IT Moves 4 kilometres each year.
